Tim Brooks was named an assistant coach for the Drexel men's basketball team in September of 2025. Brooks came to Drexel with experience from Manhattan University, the 76ers and Hartford.
Brooks spent the last two seasons as a part of John Gallagher's staff. While with the Jaspers, Brooks led the recruiting efforts and acted as the liaison between the athletic department and coaching staff, helping with the NIL Collective and other administrative duties. Brooks helped transform the Jaspers, improving the teams' record by 10 wins in the second year, stamping their ticket to the 2025 College Basketball Invitational.
Prior to his time in Manhattan, Brooks worked for a year with the Philadelphia 76ers as a basketball intelligence coordinator, collecting information on NBA prospects and evaluating possible fits for the team.
Brooks also made a stop with the Hartford basketball team. He assisted in the teams American East Conference Title during the 2020-21 season. While with the Hawks, he also helped the team appear in the conference championship two times and make three straight tournament semifinals.
Brooks earned his bachelor's degree in economics from James Madison in 2011.
