Lana Christensen joined the Drexel swimming and diving coaching staff as a volunteer assistant diving coach in 2021. In May of 2022 Christensen was elevated to the role of head diving coach of the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams.
Before joining the Drexel coaching staff, Christensen was a volunteer for various swimming and diving programs, including Texas A&M and the Northern Arizona Diving Clubs. She has also coached gymnastics and swimming in the past.
Christensen earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical microbiology with cum laude honors at Northern Arizona University where she was a diver on the Lumberjack's Swimming and Diving Team. As a collegiate diver she achieved WAC first-team all-conference appointments, received multiple team and conference awards, and was a NCAA Zone E qualifier and 3-meter finalist. She was recognized for her performance in the classroom by earning academic All-American and was a four-time WAC academic All-Conference recipient.
Christensen earned a PhD in medical sciences from Texas A&M University in May of 2018.
