2016-17: Junior campaign…Two-time All-CAA in the 100 fly and 400 medley relay…Took gold in the 400 medley relay at 3:14.37 from the butterfly position…Grabbed silver in the 100 fly with a time of 48.48…Helped set a new school record in the 400 medley relay (3:14.37) at the 2017 CAA Championships… Drexel men finished 2nd of 5 at the 2017 CAA Championships with a score of 752…Notched season bests of 22.12 in the 50 free at the Patriot Invitational, 48.71 in the 100 free against Villanova/La Salle, 23.61 in the 50 back at the Patriot Invitational, 49.00 in the 100 back finals at the CAA Championships, 1:49.52 in the 200 back finals at the CAA Championships, 23.84 in the 50 fly against NJIT/Howard and 48.48 in the 100 fly finals at the CAA Championships.
2015-16: Swam in seven different individual events for Drexel in his sophomore campaign…Three of his best individuals times on the year came at the CAA Championships where he clocked times of 49.03 in the 100 back finals, 1:47.88 in the 200 back finals and 49.10 in the 100 fly prelims…Also had top times of 22.44 in the 50 free at the 2015 Patriot Invitational, 49.40 in the 100 free against Delaware, 24.35 in the 50 back against La Salle and 23.70 in the 50 fly against Howard and NJIT.
2014-15: Primarily swam in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke along with the 200 medley relay… named the Drexel men’s swimming Freshman of the Year for the 2014-15 campaign…swam in three finals events at the CAA Championships, taking fourth in the 200 backstroke (1:49.12), sixth in the 100 butterfly (49.37) and seventh in the 100 backstroke (49.02)…his 200 backstroke time of 1:49.12 at the CAA Championships was a team best for the season…had 24 top-five finishes including two victories, three second-place finishes and 10 third-place marks.
Background: Lettered for four seasons at Clearview ... Was a 2014 First Team All South Jersey in the 100 Backstroke ... Named a Tri-County 1st Team Backstroke from 2012-14 ... In 2013 Lumpkin was a Second Team All South Jersey selection ... Finished in 6th place in 100 back at the New Jersey meet of Champions in 2014, 10th in 2013 and 17th in the 100 Fly in 2012 ... Is a Glouster County meet 100 backstroke record holder and Tri County meet 100 backstroke record holder.
Personal: Son of Joe and Jennifer Lumpkin...has a younger sister, Kara...majoring in civil engineering.
