2016-17: Senior campaign…Notched season bests of 4:37.41 in the 500 free at the Patriot Invitational, 9:53.86 in the 1000 free against Georgetown, 15:59.94 in the 1650 free at the Patriot Invitational, 26.75 in the 50 back against NJIT/Howard, 1:02.52 in the 100 breast against Delaware, 2:15.33 in the 200 breast against Delaware, 1:59.30 in the 200 fly against Lehigh and 4:01.28 in the 400 IM prelims at the CAA Championships…Drexel men finished 2nd of 5 at the 2017 CAA Championships with a score of 752.
2015-16: Swam in 10 different individual events for Drexel in his junior campaign…Posted three of his best times of the year in the finals at the CAA Championships where he clocked times of 4:32.94 in the 500 free, 15:41.53 in the 1650 free and 3:59.20 in the 400 IM…His 400 IM time of 3:59.20 set a new Drexel record…Also posted top times of 50.53 in the 100 free at Binghamton, 1:45.23 in the 200 free at the Patriot Invitational, 9:55.70 in the 1000 free against Lehigh, 1:01.71 in the 100 breast against Howard and NJIT, 2:15.94 in the 200 breast against Lehigh and 55.09 in the 100 IM against Howard and NJIT.
2014-15: Primarily swam in the 500 freestyle and 1000 freestyle…swam in two finals events at the CAA Championships including the 500 freestyle (4:32.51) and the 1650 freestyle (15:38.48)…notched 14 top-five finishes on the season including all six times in the 1000 freestyle…owned three top times on the year for Drexel including the 500 freestyle (4:32.47), 1650 freestyle (15:38.48) and 400 IM (4:04.98).
2013-14: Swam his best time in the 1650 free and broke the school record with a 15:46.68 during CAA Championships…competed in the 500 free and won the “B” final, finished fifth in the 1650 free and finished seventh in the 400 IM at the Frank Elm Invitational.
Background: Four-year letterwinner at Csiu Ferenc…took third place in the Hungarian National Short Course Championships…swam the 1500 free at the Hungarian Distance Swimming Championships…received first place in the 300 free at the Hungarian National Championships, and took home second place in the 800 free relay.
Personal: Son of Eva Gercsak Papp and Imre Gercsak…majoring in computer science.
