Was named Drexel School of Education Athlete of the Week after scoring the team’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Northeastern (9/7).
2018 / Junior
A Philadelphia Soccer Six All-Star…second on the team with 12 points and four goals…led the squad with four assists on the year…posted the game-winner in the season-opening 3-2 victory over Binghamton (8/24), part of a two-goal effort that day…added goals against Rutgers (10/2) and William & Mary (10/20)…registered points in three other CAA games, dishing out assists against Elon (9/22), Delaware (10/10) and Northeastern (10/13)…the assist against the Huskies set up the game’s lone goal in a 1-0 overtime win for Drexel in Boston…overall, played in 15 games while making 13 starts.
Background
Spent the previous two seasons with Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs...a First Team All-Iowa Community College Athletic Conference performer, and was named the Most Valuable Player of the conference championship in 2016...that year, Iowa Western went 20-1-2, earning as high as a No. 2 ranking nationally and finishing fifth in the national tournament...in 2017, Allen led the team to seven consecutive shutout victories at one point as they advanced to the Region XI final...a native of Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, Allen attended Success Laventille and St. Anthony’s College in his hometown before venturing to America to begin his collegiate career...played six years of soccer with the two schools, winning a national championship in 2012.
