Taylor Wootton enters her fifth season on head coach Denise Dillon’s staff for the 2016-17 season. Wootton joined the women's basketball staff in August, 2013 as the Coordinator of Women's Basketball Operations. Wootton, who graduated from Drexel earlier in 2013, was the 21st Dragon in program history to reach 1,000 career points, reaching the milestone in Drexel's WNIT Championship Game victory over Utah.
In her role as the Coordinator of Basketball Operations, Wootton is responsible for day-to-day operations of the office as well as coordinating many elements of the team’s travel and practice schedule.
At the conclusion of her career, Wootton set a Drexel-record of 131 games played, starting all 38 contests for the WNIT champion Dragons in 2012-13. She averaged 12.0 points per game, and led the team with a .490 shooting percentage from the floor. She was named a Third Team All-CAA selection and earned CAA and WNIT All-Tournament Team recognition.
Wootton graduated from Drexel with a degree in sport management.
