An All-Conference honoree for Drexel, Tessa Brugler begins her second year on staff as the Director of Basketball Operations, while adding scouting responsibilities to her role.
In her first season on the Dragons’ bench, Drexel posted its sixth consecutive full season with 20 or more wins and went to their ninth consecutive national postseason tournament while multiple players earned All-Conference and national honors.
As a graduate transfer, Brugler made an immediate impact on Drexel in her one year on the court. She averaged 13.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game, the highest rebounding average for DU in 20 years as she earned Second Team All-Conference and CAA All-Tournament Team honors. She also posted 13 double-doubles and had 48 blocks for a Dragons' squad that tied a program record with 28 wins and advanced to the Third Round of the WNIT.
A standout in the classroom, Brugler also became the first Drexel women's basketball player to be recognized as CoSIDA Academic All-District since Michelle Maslowski in 2001-02.
