2016-17: Junior campaign…Had season bests of 56.99 in the 100 back finals and 2:00.72 in the 200 back prelims 2017 CAA Championships…Also had top times of 26.28 in the 50 free at the 2016 Patriot Invitational, 56.86 in the 100 free against Howard/St. Peter’s and 28.59 in the 50 back against Delaware/Northeastern…Drexel women finished 4th of 7 at the 2017 CAA Championship with a score of 443.
2015-16: Swam in five different individual events for Drexel in her sophomore campaign…Posted two of her top time on the year in the finals at the CAA Championships with times of 56.66 in the 100 back and 2:00.85 in the 200 back…Also notched season bests of 26.29 in the 50 free and 27.49 in the 50 back at the Patriot Invitational as well as 59.90 in the 100 free against Howard…Member of the 400 medley relay team that set a new school record at 3:45.22…A CAA Commissioner’s Award winner.
2014-15: Primarily swam in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke…finished seventh in the CAA Championships 200 backstroke finals with a time of 2:00.69…set a new school record in the 200 backstroke at 2:00.32 in the prelims at the CAA Championships…had 22 top-five finishes on the year including six victories.
Background: Competed all four years at Heritage ... Qualified for states eight times ... Was league champion in 100m backstroke as a sophomore ... State finalist in the 100m back twice ... Sectional qualifier in the 400/500m freestyle and 100/200m butterfly ... USA Swimming Swimvitational Olympic Trial Test meet qualifier in 2012 ... Colorado Long Course State Champion in 200 back , 2013 ... Junior National qualifier, 200 back in 2013.
Personal: Daughter of Karl and Karen Gress ... Both parents members of Kansas' crew team ... majoring in game art and production.
