Aly Hinton was named Drexel's Associate Athletics Director for Business in February of 2025. She came to Drexel after serving as the Assistant Athletics Director for Business at Temple University. While a member of the Owls' staff, Hinton managed the daily operations of the business office within the athletics department and oversaw the processing of department transactions. Hinton handled monthly reconciliation and reporting of revenues and expenses and assisted in budget preparation among her other duties.
Hinton started at Temple as the athletics travel coordinator in October 2019. In that role, she was responsible for managing air and ground transportation, as well as hotel bookings for teams and staff members. Before coming back to the Philadelphia area, Hinton was the Florida International University Women's Basketball Director of Operations. With the Panthers, Hinton handled the day-to-day operations of the team, including budget management and travel coordination.
Hinton was a varsity athlete as an undergraduate at Boston University. She played on the basketball team for four years. Hinton earned a B.A. in psychology in 2009 in three years and used her final year to finish a Master's Degree in Education in 2010. She was a 1,000-point scorer while at B.U. and also snared more than 700 rebounds.
After graduation, Hinton played professionally in Israel from 2010-2014. Her team won the Israeli League Championship, the Israeli Cup and Eurocup Championship in her first pro season and also won the championship in the Israeli First Division in her final season overseas.
Hinton completed her second postgraduate degree, a Master's in Business Administration, with a concentration in athletic administration, in 2017, at Southern New Hampshire University. She was also the assistant women's basketball coach and recruiting coordinator at SNHU.
Hinton is from Richboro, Pa. and attended Council Rock High School. She played high school basketball and was on the 2005-06 PIAA 4A state finals team at Council Rock North. Her team won four consecutive league titles during her high school career.
