Chris Friedkin was elevated to Associate Director of Athletic Communications at Drexel University in February 2024, following four years as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. In his current role, he serves as the primary media contact for the women’s basketball, men’s soccer, and softball programs, while also supporting men’s lacrosse as the secondary contact. He previously worked as the primary media contact for the swimming & diving and tennis programs, along with serving as the secondary contact for men’s basketball prior to assuming his current responsibilities with the women’s program.
During his tenure at Drexel, Friedkin has held a variety of key roles, including Sports Information Director for the Philadelphia Soccer Six and primary media contact for the 2024 NCAA Division II and III Men’s Lacrosse Championships, hosted at Lincoln Financial Field.
Before joining Drexel, Friedkin worked in Wilmington, Delaware, where he served as Digital and Social Media Manager for three nonprofit organizations.
Friedkin earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in professional writing from Elizabethtown College in 2018, where he was a four-year contributor to the athletic communications office. He completed his master’s degree in sport business from Drexel University in 2024.
He currently resides in Springfield, Pa. with his wife, Lauren.
