Maria Alexandrowicz-Purcell was named Drexel's business coordinator of athletics and recreation in 2022. At Drexel, she oversees, analyzes, and coordinates the full recreation and wellness budget. In addition, Alexandrowicz-Purcell assists in coordinating fiscal year budgets for Women’s Soccer, Men’s/Women’s Swimming and diving, Men’s/Women’s Tennis, Men’s Golf and Men’s Lacrosse. She also coordinates game day transportation, hotel stays, officials’ payments, per diem meal money and other payments for each of her perspective teams. She also assists with department credit card reconciliations throughout the entire athletic department.

Before arriving at Drexel, Alexandrowicz-Purcell worked for three years at Cabrini University. She worked as the athletics department specialist in business affairs. Her duties included assisting with budget management, accounts and transfers along with invoices/payments, purchase orders, contracts and RFP’s. She also coordinated team travel and gameday contracts among other duties at the school. Alexandrowicz-Purcell was also an assistant soccer coach and goalkeeping instructor at Cabrini.

Prior to Cabrini, Alexandrowicz-Purcell was the Director of Soccer and Futsal at United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, PA.

Alexandrowicz-Purcell studied communications at Cabrini. She previously attended Millersville University where she was the goalkeeper of the soccer team for two seasons. She was the head varsity lacrosse coach at Lampeter Strasburg for 5 seasons, and the assistant women’s soccer coach at Ursinus College prior to Cabrini. Alexandrowicz-Purcell and her wife, Erin, reside in Pennsauken, N.J.
