
Dragons Take Eighth Place at CAA Championship

Williamsburg, Va. - Drexel golf completed the CAA Championship in eighth place at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club. The Dragons, who lead after the first round of the three-round event, shot a 309 in the final round on the par 71 course. Sean Semenetz finished fifth individually with a one-under-par 212. Georgia State won the event with a nine-under-par 843. Drexel finished one stroke better than eighth place George Mason with a 901.
Semenetz scored a 72 in his final round after opening with a 69 and a second round 71. The junior made the turn at three-under-par but struggled on the back nine carding four bogeys. Over the course of the tournament, Semenetz was eight-under-par on the front nine but seven-over-par on the back nine.
Trevor Sahn had his toughest round of the tournament on Sunday, finishing with an 81 in the final round. Sahn shot a 72 in the opening round and a 75 on Saturday. Steve Ransom finished with a final round 76 to shoot a 229 for the tournament. Myles Vlachos shot an 80 while Frank Petrash carded an 81 to finish at 232 and 234, respectively, for the CAA Championship.
