Women's Soccer Ends Season With 1-0 Loss at Delaware

Delaware scored a goal early in the second half and held on to defeat Drexel, 1-0, in the season finale for the Dragons in Newark, Del. The Dragons ended the season with a 2-8-1 mark in Colonial Athletic Association play and a 4-13-1 record overall.

Stacie Dulkis scored on an unassisted goal in the 58th minute to put the Blue Hens (6-6-5, 3-4-4) ahead, 1-0. The goal would hold up as Drexel was unable to get on the scoreboard, despite putting on pressure at times during the games final minutes.

Nicole Sinclair picked up three saves in goal for Drexel. Delaware keeper Annie Bevan recorded the shutout. She made three saves. The Blue Hens outshot Drexel, 17-7, but were outcornered, 5-4.

The game marked the final appearance in a Drexel uniform for four seniors. Jackie Barrett, Caley Burke, Alicia Jiulianti and Carly Snyder are the four seniors who played out their final year of eligibility in 2009.
