Philadelphia - Drexel women's basketball will play the first of two games at the Villanova Wildcat Classic Tournament when the Dragons (5-4) tip it up against Loyola (Md.) (4-5) tonight at 5:30 p.m. The holiday tournament will close out Drexel's non-conference slate and wrap up competition in the 2009 calendar year. The winner of the contest will advance to tomorrow night's championship game against either Villanova or San Francisco at 7:30 p.m. All games of the tournament will be played at the Pavilion on the campus of Villanova University.
The Dragons are coming off a convincing 67-54 win over Bucknell on Monday, Dec. 21 at the DAC. Kamile Nacickaite (26) and Gabriela Marginean (24) combined to score 50 of Drexel's 67 points. Erica DiClemente led the way with a career-high 19 points in the win. Drexel and Loyola have played three common opponents this season. Loyola lost to La Salle, Bucknell and Maryland.
