Drexel Tennis Set to Open Competition at Hampton Roads Collegiate Invitational This Weekend

Philadelphia - Drexel tennis will be on the road this weekend continuing its fall tournament schedule at the Hampton Roads Collegiate Invitational hosted by Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va. Eight men and four women will play against some of the top competition on the East Coast in both singles and doubles brackets.
Doubles play gets underway at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 8 with Zeynep Mafa and Sonja Stosic, fresh off their doubles championship at the Saint Joseph's Invitational, will face Navy's Brittney Boucher and Darrien Sears in B1 Flight Doubles. At 10:00 a.m. Emma Brook and Gozde Unkaya will play another pair of Midshipmen, Amanda Griffin and Kourtney Howell in A1 Flight Doubles.
On the men's side, Mehdi Rhazali and Jeganathan Srinivasan will open Friday with a 9:00 a.m. match against Loyola's Patrick Glaessner and Eric Michaelis in the C1 Flight Doubles bracket. Manu Bajpai and Nikoloz Kurdadze will represent Drexel in A1 Flight Doubles at 10:00 a.m. when they take on Arsenio Culver and Ben Marks from Norfolk State. Also at 10:00 a.m., Skyler Davis and Bryan Nguyen will square off against Loyola's Bobby Gorczakowski and Keyan Sanai. Later in the morning, rookies John Gant and Robert Tekie will compete with Jacob Braig and Ben Hoogland from CAA foe William & Mary at 11:00 a.m. in D1 Doubles.
