Divers to compete in Big Al Invitational at Princeton

Princeton, N.J. – The Drexel diving team will travel to Princeton this weekend to compete in the 2010 Big Al Invitational. The meet will be held from Dec. 3-5 in the Tigers' DeNunzio Pool, where the Dragons will face some of the top divers in the region including athletes from Princeton, Rutgers, and Columbia.
Competition will commence at 10:30 a.m. on Friday and will continue Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Finals will be held on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and the tournament will wrap up on Sunday with finals beginning at 5:00 p.m.
The Dragons are coming off an outstanding performance in the Frank Elms Invitational Tournament at Rutgers University on Nov. 19-21. Senior Ian Jevnick took first in the 1-meter in a close contest against UMass junior and NCAA qualifier, Jason Cook. For the women, Megan Halicek placed first in the 3-meter and third in the 1-meter. This performance earned her CAA Women's Diver of the Week honors, her fourth on the season.
