Theo Andreopoulos Named CAA Co-Swimmer of the Year

RICHMOND, Va. – Theo Andreopoulos of the Drexel men's swimming and diving team has been named the Coastal Athletic Association Co-Swimmer of the Year, as announced by the conference on Thursday.
Andreopoulos becomes the latest Dragon to earn the honor after a standout season. The junior was named CAA Swimmer of the Meet and qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200 back.
At the CAA Championships, Andreopoulos earned seven gold medals. He won individual titles in the 50 free (19.60), 100 back (47.87), and 200 back (1:42.00), while also contributing to first-place finishes in the 200 medley relay (1:25.82), 200 free relay (1:18.17), 400 medley relay (3:08.14), and 400 free relay (2:52.00), which set a CAA all-time and meet record.
In addition, the conference recognized all medal finishers at the conference championships as All-CAA athletes. Drexel earned multiple All-CAA selections across both the men's and women's teams.
On the women's side, Brittany Corbett led the group with gold medals in the 500 free (4:47.79) and 1650 free (16:39.96). The 200 free relay team of Mari Alencar, Delaney Leonard, Clare Schwartz, and Megan Ehrnfeldt captured gold with a CAA record time of 1:30.56.
Harper Barrowman earned silver in the 1650 free (16:44.26), while Ehrnfeldt added a silver in the 100 fly (52.61) and a bronze in the 200 fly (2:01.35). Ehrnfeldt, Barrowman, Jessie Rothrock, and Corbett also combined for a bronze medal in the 800 free relay (7:18.00).
On the men's side, Andreopoulos led the group with seven gold medals. Sebastian Smith added individual gold medals in the 100 fly (46.17) and 100 free (42.85), along with a bronze in the 50 free (19.62), while contributing to multiple gold medal relays.
The 400 free relay team of Andreopoulos, Matas Cinga, Petar Pavalic, and Smith set a CAA all-time and meet record with a time of 2:52.00. The 200 medley relay team of Andreopoulos, Mark Eszes, Smith, and Declan Egger also earned gold (1:25.82), while the 400 medley relay team of Dimi Gkelis, Bartosz Loter, Smith, and Andreopoulos captured gold (3:08.14).
Cinga earned silver in the 200 free (1:36.00), while Petar Pavalic added a silver in the 200 back (1:42.59). The 800 free relay team of Cinga, Reds Rullis, Roko Krpina, and Pavalic secured bronze (6:28.97).
Additional bronze medalists included Roko Krpina in the 400 IM (3:48.45), Mark Eszes in the 100 breast (52.94), and Richie Pucek in the 200 fly (1:46.03).
