Rutgers proved to be too much for Drexel as the Scarlet Knight picked up a 35-6 win over the visiting Dragons. Steve Mytych and Alex Rinaldi were the lone victors for Drexel who dropped to 9-12 on the season. Both Mytych and Rinaldi won by decision with the 13th-ranked Mytych topping 20th-ranked Bill Ashnault, 6-3, in the marquee bout of the dual.
Rutgers jumped out to a big lead with a win by major decision at 174 pounds in the first bout before following with wins by decision at 184 and 197 pounds. The Dragons forfeited the heavyweight match with Kyle Frey out with a hand injury. After a win by technical fall at 125 pounds, Rutgers had its streak halted by Mytych in his victory over Ashnault. The Scarlet Knights responded by taking the next three bouts before Rinaldi capped the dual with an 11-9 sudden victory triumph over Matthew Rigoglioso.
