Drexel Tennis Heads to Towson For Weekend of CAA Tennis

Towson, Md. - Drexel's men's and women's tennis teams will be in action this weekend at the CAA Roundup hosted by Towson. The weekend of conference dual matches will see the Drexel men (4-4, 1-0) face Georgia State and James Madison while the women (6-3, 1-0) will take on UNC Wilmington.
Both teams are coming off dominant conference victories over Hofstra and are seeing action for the first time since March sixth.
Newcomer Nikoloz Kurdadze has settled into the role at first singles, posting a 12-6 overall record and a perfect 3-0 record at first singles while playing there in the team's last three matches. Fellow transfer sophomore Manu Bajpai has established himself at second singles, with a 3-0 mark there and a 7-6 overall record in singles play.
The men will open the Roundup against Georgia State on Friday, March 26 at 1:00 p.m. and face James Madison on Sunday, March 27 at 1:30.
The women enter the weekend with a 6-3 overall record led by sophomore Elise Leizerovich who is 5-1 at fourth singles and 9-4 overall this season. The return of sophomore Sonja Stosic has helped to solidify the team's lineup over the last four matches as well.
The Drexel women will play UNC Wilmington at 3:00 p.m. on Tursday, March 25.
