Men's Varsity Eight Takes Third in Petite Final at San Diego Crew Classic

San Diego, Calif. - Drexel men's crew completed its run in the 2010 San Diego Crew Classic with a third-place finish in the petite final. The Dragons crossed less than three seconds after first-place Santa Clara and less than two seconds behind second-place Georgia Tech. The San Diego Crew Classic was the first of four consecutive regattas in which Drexel Crew will compete each weekend.
Santa Clara finished with a time of 6:13.60 to win the petite final while Georgia Tech took second by recording a 6:14.23. Drexel boat of coxswain Randall Lee, stroke Aleksandar Radovic, Kyle Fabel, Anthony Fittipaldi, Greg Pierce, Brian Timlin, Will Masters, Nick Buyse and bow Jacob Sloan crossed at 6:16.22. The Dragons finished ahead of Loyola, USC, and UCI.
