Bruiser Flint Takes Part in Shot From the Heart Tournament
11/29/2011 4:57:00 PM | Men's Basketball
Drexel Head Basketball Coach Bruiser Flint will once again participate in the "Shots from the Heart" Tournament to benefit the Skip Prosser Foundation.
The tournament has two 64-coach fields, one for head coaches and one for assistants. Each coach will take 25 free throws and based on a point system, the winner will advance to the next round in bracket format. Flint will face Chris Mack from Xavier in the first round. If he wins, he will take on the winner of the Seth Greenberg (Virginia Tech)-Phil Martelli (Saint Joseph's) match up.
The Skip Prosser Foundation helps to create awareness for heart disease through competition. Prosser, the head coach at Wake Forest, passed away in 2007 of an apparent heart attack. He was a highly-respected and one of the most liked coaches in the college game. Prosser previously served as the head coach at Xavier and Loyola (Md.)
