Annapolis, Md. - Rookie Skyler Davis picked up his first dual match victory of the spring season, but it would be the Dagons' only point in a 6-1 loss at Navy. Drexel falls to 2-3 in dual matches with the loss and Navy improves to 6-1 with the victory.
Davis' win was a three-set classic at fifth singles. After losing the first set 6-2 against Nicholas Gutsche, who has the second most dual match victories for the Midshipmen this season, Davis battled back to take the second set 6-4. With the match already clinched for Navy, the pair engaged in a superset tiebreaker for the third set, in which Davis pulled out a 10-7 victory to clinch a point for his team.
