2/25/2011 3:39:14 PM | Men's Tennis
Philadelphia - In their first taste of action since a tough loss at Navy two weekends ago, Drexel men's tennis welcomes the Coppin State Eagles to the Armory as part of a dual match with the women's team on Sunday. The men will lead off the day against Coppin State at 11:00 a.m. and the women will take the court immediately following the men at approximately 1:00 p.m. Drexel is 2-3 on the season and looking to snap a three-game skid.
The Midshipmen were too much for the Dragons in a 6-1 match on Feb. 13. Rookie Skyler Davis scored his first win of the spring to give the Dragons their lone team point. Nikoloz Kurdadze is leading the Dragons this season with a 9-4 overall record and a 3-2 mark in dual matches.
The Eagles are playing their first match of the 2011 spring season this weekend. James Jeffreys is the team's top returning player. He posted a 3-6 record while playing at first singles on a Coppin State team that went 1-8 last year.
