Drexel Divers Compete at the NCAA Zone ‘A’ Championship this Weekend

Philadelphia – Drexel's Stephen Cal, Megan Halicek, and Ian Jevnick are scheduled to compete in the NCAA Zone 'A' Championship held at Lejeune Hall on the Navy campus this weekend. The event will take place from Friday, March 11 through Sunday, March 13.
Jevnick and Halicek continued to have success on the boards for the Dragons. They were selected by the CAA coaches as the Male and Female Divers of the meet for their outstanding CAA Championship performances. Both divers started the final diving round from behind and went on to capture the title in the CAA 1-meter event. Jevnick and Halicek placed second on the 3-meter board. Teammate Stephen Cal also placed seventh in the 3-meter event.
Friday will open with the women's 3-meter and the men's 1-meter events at 1:00 p.m. On Saturday, the women's 1-meter event and men's 3-meter event will take place at noon. The meet determines the qualifiers for the NCAA National Championships that will take place next week.
