Camden, N.J. – The Drexel men's varsity four boat captured a bronze medal in the grand final at the 2011 IRA National Championship on Saturday. The Dragons had great success on the water in the three-day long event held on the Cooper River. The LeBow College of Business boat took second in the preliminary and semi-final heats before clocking in at 6:23.039 for third place in the finals. This marks the best overall finish in school history for Drexel Crew at the IRA National Championship.
The LeBow College of Business boat, with coxswain Randall Lee, stroke Vanja Busic, Lorenzo Albala, Sebastian Ryan, and bow Kyle Fabel, crossed the finish line behind Washington and Brown in lane two. Washington recorded a first-place time of 6:19.045 followed by Brown at 6:21.859.
