Men's Golf Takes Fouth in Season Opener

Olean, N.Y. – The Drexel men's golf team finished fourth out of 11 teams at St. Bonaventure's 23rd Annual Leo Keenan Invitational held at the Bartlett Country Club. The Dragons compiled a team score of 592 after two days of solid competition.
Drexel came out firing in the opening round of the 2011 fall season. Drexel placed second behind first-place Robert Morris after the first round on Sunday. Newcomer Andrew Feldman was tied for second place with Cornell's Carl Schimenti with a score of 70 at the completion of day one.
The Dragons were off to great start as Benjamin Feld and Andrew Feldman were both -1 entering the fourth hole on the final day of the invitational. Drexel continued to close the gap on Robert Morris with a birdie from Reube, Braunsberg, and Parsons on the 14th hole, but were unable to finish on top as the day came to an end.
Drexel's Andrew Feldman led the Dragons with a 70 and 75 for a total score of 145. Feldman finished ninth overall, while teammates Benjamin Feld and James Parsons tied for 12th place with a round score of 147. James Braunsberg shot a 153, while Billy Reube penciled in a total score of 156.
The Drexel men's golf team returns to action next weekend at the Hartford Hawks Invitational.
