PHILADELPHIA - In a singles-only dual match played at the Drexel Armory on Sunday afternoon, the Drexel women's tennis team quickly dispatched Coppin State, winning the first four singles matches to clinch the victory before the final two scheduled matchups of the day were called off.
Drexel did not allow so much as a game to be won by the visiting Eagles, recording four striaght 6-0, 6-0 victories to seal the win.
Sonja Stosic, Emma Brook, Alex Bell and Nicole Pivonka were the victorious Dragons, with Aysenil Ohron and Mel Reyes waiting to play when Pivonka won the clinching match.
The Dragons will be back on the courts on Sunday when they face George Washington at the Armory courts. That match is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
