Former Drexel Football Coach Eddie Allen Passes Away

Former Drexel football coach Eddie Allen recently passed away. Allen, who was the head coach of the 1955 team which is in the Athletics Hall of Fame, was 93 years old.
Allen, who grew up in Batavia, N.Y., passed away on March 1. He attended Penn and went on to play the 1947 season with the Chicago Bears. Allen was Drexel's head coach from 1950-57. During that time, his teams complied a 33-24-1 mark. The 1955 team was Drexel's only undefeated season.
