Dragons Place 21st at Towson's Fireline Invitational

Grasonville, Md. – The Drexel men's golf team scored 21st place after 54 holes of competition at the 14th Annual Fireline Invitational hosted by Towson at Prospect Bay Country Club. Drexel's co-captain Benjamin Feld led the Dragons throughout the three-day invitational and tied for 31st place out of 118 golfers. The Dragons combined for a total score of 926.
Feld had the lowest round of the afternoon on Saturday. The Blue Bell, Pa. native started the round with six straight pars and then birdied the long 212 par 3 with an 8 iron onto the green. He had a birdie on the 10th hole followed by two more in the following four holes. On the day, Feld had four birdies and 14 pars, which is on the way to a season and career low 68 for the Dragons. On Sunday, he penciled in a 74 and finished with a total score of 223.
Teammate Michael Serensits had his best round so far this spring. Serensits birdied his first hole of the day after an outstanding drive followed by a 7 iron into the opening par 5. The Allentown, Pa. native made a strong turn for Drexel at even par 36. Serensits played steady golf on the back nine leading him to a 73 in the second round. In the final round, he shot an 85 and tied for 102nd place with a 237.
James Braunsberg finished second for the Dragons after shooting a 79 in the 18 holes on Sunday. Braunsberg had a round score of 236 and tied for 98th place overall. Teammate James Parsons penciled in at 238, while Vncent Anagnos finished with a total score of 240.
The Dragons return to action again on Monday, April 2 through April 3 at the Wildcat Invitational. Drexel is one of 14 teams participating in the invitational hosted at White Manor Country Club.
