Women's Tennis Edged By Delaware, 4-3

NEWARK, Del. - The Drexel women's tennis team saw its five-match winning streak come to an end on Saturday, as they fell at Delaware, 4-3. The Dragons won the doubles point, then dropped four of six singles matches to fall to the Blue Hens.
Nicole Pivonka won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 6 singles after contributing to an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles along with Emma Brook, making her the only double-winner for the Dragons.
Along with Pivonka and Brook, Sonja Stosic and Zeynep Mafa won at No. 1 doubles, 8-2, to earn the doubles point for Drexel.
Alex Bell won at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-2. The Dragons had a chance to win the match overall, but No. 1 Sonja Stosic fell after winning the first set, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Drexel will conclude its regular season on Wednesday, when it visits George Mason at 2:00 p.m.
