Men's Golf Finishes Fifth in Season Opener

Final Scores
Olean, N.Y. – After two rounds of solid play, the Drexel men's golf team placed fifth out of eight teams in the first competition of the season at the 24th annual Leo Keenan Invitational. The Dragons finished with a 306 and 296 for a team score of 602. St. Bonaventure won the invitational with a total score of 583 followed by Robert Morris and Humber College.
Freshman Christopher Crawford finished fifth out of 44 golfers in his first collegiate contest for the Dragons. Crawford birdied his first hole and continued to lead Drexel throughout the tournament finishing with a 74 and 73 for round score of 147. He also took third overall in par 3 scoring.
Fifth-year senior Andrew Lawson and senior James Braunsberg both tied for ninth place penciling in a 148. Lawson led the field in par 5 scoring, while Braunsberg took seventh overall in pars with 21. Senior Benjamin Feld finished fourth on the team and tied for 32nd overall. Feld shot an 80 and a 79 for a round score of 159. Billy Reube finished the invitational with a 177.
