Women's Squash Takes Opener, 9-0 Over Johns Hopkins

RESULTS
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Drexel women's squash team won its season opener on Saturday against Johns Hopkins, 9-0. The Dragons did not cede a single game to the Blue Jays as the teams played a neutral site match at the Naval Academy.
Damindhi Udangawa, returning for her sophomore season with the Dragons, continued to hold down the No. 1 position o the ladder. She won her match, 11-2, 11-1, 11-4. Playing her first collegiate match, Mary Fung-A-Fat took the No. 2 match, 11-4, 11-1, 11-4. Elisa Money also made her collegiate debut, winning at No. 3, 11-3, 11-3, 11-3.
Maria Diagama, Laura Rahauser and Davila Thompson held down the middle of the Drexel ladder, while Courtney Sabo, Kristine Giltvedt and Clare Anderson won their matches at No. 7, 8 and 9, respectively.
The Dragons' win was the first-ever to open a season in the three-year history of the program as a varsity sport. Drexel will now have four-straight home matches at the Kline & Specter Squash Center, beginning November 22 against Franklin & Marshall at 5:00 p.m.
