Men's and Women's Squash Downed By Cornell

MEN'S RESULTS WOMEN'S RESULTS
PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel men's and women's squash teams fell to Cornell on Saturday at the Kline & Specter Squash Center in the teams' second home matches of the season. The men's team dropped a nailbiter to the Big Red, 5-4, while the women were blanked by Cornell, 9-0.
On the men's side, the Dragons were edged by the Big Red, 5-4. Justin Singh moved to 3-1 on the season with his victory at No. 2, 11-4, 11-9, 9-11, 11-6. For Singh, it was his third straight victory. Mark Kauf won in straight sets at No. 4, while Sebastian Dangond pulled out a tight five-set battle at No. 5. Dangond fell behind early, but rebounded for a 5-11, 12-10, 5-11, 12-10, 11-6 win. Noel Solomon was also victorious for the Dragons, winning his match at No. 6 in three sets.
The men's tight defeat followed a Cornell victory on the women's side in which the Big Red took down the Dragons, 9-0. All nine matches were decided in straight sets, with only Disha Thahryamal mananging so much as nine points in a single set when she lost, 11-2, 11-6, 11-9 at No. 4.
The Dragons will close out a home weekend on Sunday morning when they host Williams at the Kline & Specter Squash Center. Both the men's and the women's matches will begin at 10:00 a.m.
