Crawford Wins Cornell Invitational and Helps Golf to Second Place Finish

Ithaca, N.Y. – Sophomore Christopher Crawford earned a first place victory at the Cornell Invitational which concluded play on Sunday afternoon. Crawford carded 71-70-69—210 and finished three under par to secure his third career tournament win and help the Dragons to a second place finish out of 15 teams.
The Drexel golf team as a whole carded 302-299-299—900 over the weekend to finish just behind the tournament-winning Towson Tigers.
Senior Vincent Anagnos placed second among his teammates with a line of 72-75-78—225 that put him tied for 15th of 77 total participants. Freshman Yoseph Dance made his second appearance as a Dragon as he carded 79-78-75—232 to finish in 33rd place.
Sophomore Alex Kane scored 80-78-77—235 on the weekend to tie for 42nd, while redshirt freshman Scott Forrester shot 83-76-81—240 and placed 60th overall.
The Dragons return to action on Oct. 6-8 as they head to Raleigh, N.C. to compete in the Wolfpack Intercollegiate, which will be held at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
