Women's and Men's Tennis Split Match at Lehigh

In doubles, teammates Erin Bowsher and Lea Winkler defeated their opponents in a 6-3 decision, along with Nicole Pivonka and Fiorella Coria who dominated their match 6-2.
Kicking off singles play in the No 1 position, Pivonka took down Billimoria, 6-1, 6-4. From there, the next win would come from Winkler who was able to take control after a close first set. She defeated Campisi, 7-6 (3), 6-2. Coria used her patience and steady hand to takeover Lehigh's, Kammetsky, 6-2, 6-2. In the No 6 position for the Dragons, Alex Bell came back from a first set loss to defeat Graham, 5-7, 6-3, 10-2.
On the men's side, Xabier Saavedra and Alex Fioravante defeated their doubles opponents, 6-5 (5), followed by teammates Badr Ouabdelmoumen and Daniel Hansen who took their match, 6-1.
In singles competition, Ouabdelmoumen used aggressive play to best Gilman in a, 6-4, decision. The only other win for the men would come from No 6 Paul Stauskas, who played a consistently solid, 6-3, 6-3, match.
The men will return to the court on Sunday, January 26 when they will take on St. Francis (NY) at Legacy Centre.
The women will return on Friday, January 31 in an away match against rival Penn.
