PHILADELPHIA- The Drexel women's tennis squad dropped their match to Temple, 7-0. The Dragons are now 3-1 on the season.
The Dragons had their work cut out for them as they took on the Owls at Legacy Courts. Temple managed to steal the doubles point, but only after two hard fought matches by Zeynep Mafa and Marcela Rosales, and Nicole Pivonka and Fiorella Coria.
Temple then managed to work through the Dragons in singles competition for the ultimate win. Mafa and Erin Bowsher each went three sets a piece until their upsets, and Lea Winkler also played a solid match going 7-6 (5) in the first set, and ending on the losing end of a 6-3 second set.
The women and the men will return to the court on Sunday, February 9 as they both will take on St. Francis (Pa.) at the Drexel Armory. Matches are set to begin at 10 a.m.
