Wrestling to Host Navy in Saturday Night Dual

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel wrestling team will host Navy on Saturday, Dec. 13 in its last home dual before the new year. The first match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
The Dragons (1-3) are coming off a 1-2 performance at the Windy City Duals hosted by Northwestern last Saturday. Drexel defeated Davidson, 39-0 to lead off the day, but then fell to No. 16 Northwestern, 28-15 and later Eastern Michigan, 22-19. Kevin Devoy Jr., who is currently ranked No. 17 by Intermat Wrestling, won all three of his matches, which moves the 133-pounder to 8-0 thus far on the season.
Navy is 1-0 on the season after having defeated George Mason, 23-9 in its only dual meet thus far on the year. The Midshipmen have also competed in four tournaments, the most recent of which was the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational where senior Peyton Walsh earned a fifth place finish. Intermat currently ranks Walsh at No. 15 among 165-pounders.
Saturday's dual marks the 14th meeting between the Dragons and the Midshipmen, with Navy leading the all-time series, 9-4. The two teams last met on January 26, 2002 when Drexel defeated Navy, 20-15.
