Harrisonburg, Va. – Ron Curry nailed a three-pointer with just 6.5 seconds left in overtime as James Madison defeated Drexel, 63-61. Drexel (14-12, 6-7 CAA) had one last chance to tie, but Dartaye Ruffin's inbound was stolen and Andre Nation made a pair of free throws to ice the game.

Drexel trailed by two points with :22 seconds left in regulation after Curry made one of two free throws. The Dragons called time with :13 remaining to set up their final play. Massenat drove to the basket and found a cutting Rodney Williams, who slammed it home with just six ticks left on the clock. JMU (11-17, 6-8 CAA) was unable to get a shot off and the game went to an extra period.

Both teams struggled offensively for most of the night. The Dragons defense held the Dukes to just five field goals in the first half and 18 percent from the floor. However, on the offensive end the Dragons made just 27 percent of their shots. They did take a 23-16 lead to intermission.

Massenat led the Dragons with 15 points, but had an uncharacteristically rough night from the floor. The senior was 4-for-18 shooting and had just two assists. Chris Fouch finished with 13 points, all in the second half, but he also struggled with his shot (3-for-14). Dartaye Ruffin grabbed 11 rebounds. The Dragons, who entered the game leading the nation in fewest turnovers per game, committed 12 miscues and gave up 14 offensive rebounds.

Curry led all players with 18 points. He was one of the few players who shot a decent percentage from the floor, making eight of his 19 shots. Charles Cooke added 13 for the Dukes, while Andre Nation scored 12. James Madison had 17 second chance points.

The Dragons will play on the road again this weekend when they head to Delaware to face the Blue Hens on Sunday.
