Women's Tennis Sweep La Salle, 7-0

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel women's tennis squad swept La Salle, 7-0, giving them the team a 6-1 current record.
After defeating Howard just yesterday, the Dragons were able to rest up and come out strong against La Salle's Explorers. Teammates Marcela Rosales and Zeynep Mafa defeated their doubles competition, 6-1. Nicole Pivonka and Erin Bowsher were able to shut out their opponents, 6-0, and steal the doubles point.
In singles, the team took every match in straight sets. Mafa and Pivonka each took their matches with the same score of, 6-1, 6-0, while Rosales and Bowsher were both victorious with, 6-0, 6-0, results against their Explorer competitors.
Next up for the women, they will play another inner city team in the form of Penn, on Friday, February 28 at 3 p.m.
