Women's Tennis Fall to Penn, 5-2

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel women's tennis team fell to Penn on Friday. The final score was 5-2, and the women are now currently, 6-2, on the season.
The Dragons fought hard in their match against Penn. Erin Bowsher and Fiorella Coria managed the only two wins for the team. After losing the doubles point, the women worked for the singles points. Zeynep Mafa lost at No.1, 6-1, 6-1. Nicole Pivonka also lost her match after three long sets, 6-3, 0-6, 10-7, at No. 2. Marcela Rosales also fell to her opponent, 6-2, 6-2. The first win came from Bowsher in No. 4. after a grueling three set, 5-7, 6-0, 12-10, match. At No.5 Lea Winkler was defeated, 6-0, 6-3, and Coria finished the match with a victory over Penn, 7-6 (4), 6-1.
The women will return to the Drexel Armory on Friday, March 7 as they take on St. Peter's at 3 p.m.
