Men's Tennis Sweep Howard

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel men's tennis squad swept Howard, 7-0, in today's match. The men are currently 6-4 on the season.
In singles play, Ouabdelmoumen chose smart shot selections throughout his, 6-3, 6-4, victory. At No. 2, Xabier Saavedra had an outstanding three set, 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-2, win. He knew exactly when to step it up throughout the match and executed each shot. Alex Fioravante, at No. 3, played smart and aggressive tennis to aid in his win, 6-2, 6-0. Dan Keohler used his serve and volley style to hold and break serve and win his match, 6-2, 6-2. Paul Stauskas had a, 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6. He was consistent throughout play and knew when to take advantage of his opponent. At No. 6, Daniel Hansen played a pro set to eight games because the match had been decided. He took the match, 8-2, with a good serve and solid playing.
The men's next match versus Monmouth has been postponed. They will return to the court on Sunday, March 9 against UMBC for an 8 a.m. match at the Lecacy Center.
