Men’s Swimming and Diving Earns Wins Against Loyola, Lafayette

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's swimming and diving team earned two wins on Saturday in Baltimore, Md. against Loyola, 159-140, and Lafayette, 195-103.
Senior Kyle Lukens won the 100 free as he touched the wall at 47.39 and the 100 fly at 50.59. Lukens also helped earn a win in the 400 free relay (3:11.80) with fellow senior Joel Berryman, Klotz and freshman Luke Hanner.
Freshman Dane Bell earned two victories on Saturday in the 500 free (4:44.96) and 1000 free (9:54.51). Senior Matthew Klotz finished second to Bell in the 500 free (4:47.68), but also earned a win in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.47.
Individually, Berryman also won the 50 free with a time of 21.36 and the 200 back at 1:54.74.
In addition to the 400 free relay win, Hanner won the 200 fly at 1:57.19.
In the diving portion for the Drexel men, senior David Sanchez won the 3m with a total score of 282.95 and came in second in the 1m at 280.60.
The men's and women's swimming and diving teams will now head to Fairfax, Md. on Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31 to face George Mason, Towson and Northeastern.
