Men's Basketball Falls to Delaware on Senior Night

Philadelphia, Pa. – Delaware spoiled Drexel's senior night at the Daskalakis Athletic Center with a 58-44 victory. The depleted Dragons kept it close for a while before the Blue Hens pulled away for the win.

The Dragons (10-18, 8-9) dressed just seven players due to injury. They played without Damion Lee and Sammy Mojica. Lee, the CAA's leading scorer, fractured his hand in the Northeastern game, while Mojica injured his knee in practice on Wednesday.

Freddie Wilson, Tavon Allen and Rashann London each played the entire game for Bruiser Flint's team. Wilson finished with a team-high 12 points, five rebounds and five assists. The senior had all 12 of his points in the first half. Mohamed Bah played one of his better games this season, scoring 11 points on 5-for-7 shooting. London also scored 11 points. Rodney Williams led the club with 12 rebounds. Drexel turned the ball over just five times, but struggled from the floor, especially in the second half. The Dragons were just 7-for-32 (22 percent) in the final 20 minutes.

The Blue Hens (9-19, 8-9) were led by Kyle Anderson's 16 points. Maurice Jeffers added 10 points and nine rebounds, while Kory Holden scored nine and handed out eight assists. Delaware got the lead in the first half mainly by shooting the ball well early. The Blue Hens made 54 percent of their shots in the first half and did not trail at all in the second half.

Drexel closes the regular season on Saturday afternoon at William & Mary. The Tribe can clinch at least a share of the conference title with a win over the Dragons. William & Mary will also clinch the number one seed with a win. The Dragons will be trying to even their conference record with a victory on the Tribe's home court.
