RESULTS
MALVERN, Pa. - Drexel Golf's Christopher Crawford secured his first Golf Association of Philadelphia Major victory with a win at the 113th Joseph H. Patterson Memorial Cup. The Patterson Cup, which is a two-day event that was held at Chester Valley Golf Club on Aug. 6-7, is one of the top amateur events in the Philadelphia area.
Crawford finished the tournament with a three-under-par 137 over two rounds. After finishing the first day of play six shots back, an early eagle and birdie on day two helped him jump up the leaderboard and get back into contention. With the win, Crawford will be awarded points toward the Golf Association of Philadelphia's 2015 William Hyndman, III Player of the Year award. Prior to the Patterson Cup win, Crawford was tied for 19th in the Player of the Year standings, but he is expected to jump up in the rankings with the added points.
