Women's Swimming and Diving Falls to Lehigh in Final Home Meet of the Year

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel women's swimming and diving team fell to the Lehigh Mountain Hawks on Saturday afternoon from the Drexel Pool by a final of 182-117. Over 70 alumni came back to cheer on the Dragons during the Homecoming Weekend meet.
The women opened the dual with a win in the 200 medley relay behind Gillian Gress, Rachel Bernhardt, Charlotte Myers and Emily Lau with a time of 1:49.30.
Individually, Bernhardt finished first in the 100 breast with a time of 1:05.11. Rebecca Churchill and Sarah Cahill closely followed for second and third at 1:09.09 and 1:10.55, respectively.
Bernhardt also won the 200 breast at 2:26.99 and placed second in the 50 free as she touched the wall at 24.18, narrowly missing out on first by a few tenths on a second. Churchill again finished second in the 200 breast at 2:29.33.
Gress grabbed third in the 200 back with a time of 2:14.31.
Miranda Rouse took second in the 500 free at 5:13.34 and third in the 100 free at 10:38.91. Rouse also placed second in the 200 IM near the end of the dual when she touched the wall at 2:11.24.

The Drexel men and women will now compete in the NYC Invitational on Friday, Feb. 5 and Saturday, Feb. 6 in New York.
