No. 10 Women’s Squash Drops Season Opener at No. 14 Franklin & Marshall

LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 10 Drexel women's squash team (0-1) fell to the No. 14 Franklin & Marshall Diplomats (1-0) by a final of 9-0 in Lancaster, Pa. on Tuesday.

The Diplomats swept the Dragons, 9-0, in Drexel's season opener.

In the No. 4 position, sophomore Apoorva Addepalli dropped a five-game thriller to F&M's Dulakshi Elikewela, 12-10, 6-11, 18-20, 11-4, 11-9, in a match that saw Addepalli win the third game, 20-18.

Senior Maria Diagama also fell in five games to the Diplomats' Ellen Verry. Diagama dropped the first and third games but won the second and fourth from the No. 6 spot. Verry won the fifth for an 8-11, 11-3, 15-17, 11-4, 11-9 victory.

The Drexel women will now prep for Columbia in New York City on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.
