Crew Earns Two Wins Sunday at the Rutgers Classic on the Raritan

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Drexel Crew won the men's varsity four and women's freshmen eight titles Sunday at the Rutgers Classic on the Raritan River in New Brunswick, N.J.

The men's varsity four B took the top time with a 13:43, outlasting Navy's top boat by seven seconds. Drexel's A boat also took a top-five finish with a time of 13:56 to take fifth overall. In the women's freshmen eight race, the Dragons took first in the Maria Papadakis boat with a time of 14:58, beating Rutgers' top boat by 42 seconds for the win.

In the men's freshmen eight race, Drexel's A boat, in the Joseph Greipp, finished fifth with a 12:57, while Drexel's B, in the Annette Pennoni, took sixth with a time of 12:59. Navy A finished first with 12:22.

The Dragons close out their fall season on Saturday, Nov. 12 on Mercer Lake at the Frostbite Regatta.
