Second-Place Finish Highlights Crew's Day at Collegiate Small Boat Challenge

SMALL BOAT CHALLENGE RESULTS

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – Drexel Crew earned a second- and a fourth-place finish Sunday to highlight its weekend at the Collegiate Small Boat Challenge on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.

The Dragons' top pair took second, while the B pair took fourth. The team also earned a top-10 finish in the double.

Drexel's A pair, in the MacDonald boat, finished second in the top final on Sunday with a time of 7:57.960, two seconds off of Rhode Island for the top spot. The Dragons' B pair, in the Fry boat, took fourth with a time of 8:04.690. Also recording a top-10 finish was the double, in the Buckley boat, with at time of 8:17.210 for fourth in the B final.

In the B pair final, Drexel finished fifth and sixth, respectively. The D pair, in the Kephart boat, finished with an 8:34.550 for fifth, while the E pair took sixth with a time of 8:42.530 in the Grace boat. The C pair, in the Wallace boat, took first in the third final to finish 13th overall with a final time of 8:30.420.

The Dragons are also in action on Sunday at the Rutgers Fall Classic on the Raritan River in New Brunswick, N.J.

Drexel Crew will close out its fall season on Saturday, Nov. 12 on Mercer Lake at the Frostbite Regatta.
