Men's Swimming and Diving Finishes Up at the NYU Invitational

RESULTS
NEW YORK – The Drexel men's swimming and diving team concluded competition at the NYU Invitational on Saturday evening. Three Dragons swam in the two-day meet which did not feature team scoring.
FRIDAY
Drexel freshman Greg Buckley finished sixth in the 200 back (1:58.89), which was five seconds faster than his previous best for Drexel.
Sophomore Cameron Hoyer placed eighth of 27 in the 100 free with a time of 48.35 for a career best.
Fellow sophomore Ted Dickerson also finished at 50.36 in the 100 free.
SATURDAY
Hoyer had a lifetime best of 1:43.99 in the 200 free as he finished second of 20. He also finished fifth in the 50 free at 22.48.
Buckley went on to win the 100 back at 54.05. He also placed fifth in the 100 fly with a time of 54.71. In the 100 back time trial, the Drexel freshman touched the wall at 55.40.
Dickerson came in 13th at 1:52.89 in the 200 free and 18th in the 50 free at 23.81.

The Dragons will close out the year at the CAA Diving Championships on Saturday, Feb. 20 through Sunday, Feb. 21 in Newark, Del. and the CAA Swimming Championships from Wednesday, Feb. 24 through Saturday, Feb. 27 in Richmond, Va.
