No. 7 Men’s Squash Outlasted by No. 4 Columbia Saturday, 7-2

PHILADELPHIA — The No. 7 Drexel men's squash team came up short Saturday afternoon against No. 4 Columbia at the Kline & Specter Squash Center, 7-2. The Dragons are now 1-2 in the year, while the Lions improve to 2-0 overall.
The Dragons got two wins on the afternoon from Nos. 8 and 9, Cillian Dunne and Mostafa Makarim, respectively. Dunne trades games with Mac Awalt and outlasted his opponent in five, 11-9, 8-11, 11-7, 9-11, 13-11. At No. 9, Makarim breezed past Sambhav Anand in straight games, 11-3, 11-2, 11-5. Freshman Dylan Kachur was able to force five games, Burbank ultimately fell to Arhum Saleem a time No. 4, 11-3, 4-11, 13-15, 11-5, 11-9.
The Dragons return to action Sunday at home against No. 1 Trinity following the women's match at noon.
